Kenmare - Luxury View House

County Kerry, Ireland

spacer line

This is a new architect-designed contemporary house.  It has smashing views of Kenmare Bay and the gorgeous Macgillycuddy Reeks.  Nothing has been forgotten in this large, luxurious home.

Drive through an electric gate to the house and enter into a open maple-floored entryway that has book-lined shelves.  A few steps down, the living room has an irregular shape - all the better to see the views.  There are high ceilings, maple floors, a modern gas fireplace, TV, DVD player, music center.  Two long sofas, two easy chairs and window seats are all streamlined, but very comfortable.  There is well-chosen art on the walls, but the views take center stage.

In the enormous kitchen-dining room, the tile choice works beautifully with the custom-made maple cupboards, large dresser and the 9' long solid maple dining table.  The workmanship is fabulous - the wood feels as smooth as silk.  Everything in this kitchen is the finest of everything.   There is a guest powder room and a laundry room off a little hallway near the kitchen.

From the dining area, large windows and French doors look onto the paved patio and the views.  The deck, facing the gardens, the water and mountains, is very large and perfect for al fresco meals.

The bedroom wing is on the other side of the living room.  All four bedrooms are modern, stylish, spacious and very comfortable.  Two of the bedrooms have a king bed that can convert to twin beds.  One bedroom has custom-made twin beds.  These three bedrooms all have views of Kenmare Bay.  They share a very large bathroom that has floor-to-ceiling white tiles, a slate floor and  an enormous shower with multiple jets.

The master bedroom, at the end of the hallway, has a king sleigh bed, custom-made chest of drawers and dressing table, a large walk-in closet.  You can see the mountains through the windows from the bed! The beautiful, large bathroom has mosaic tiles in shades of watery-blue, a jacuzzi tub and a large shower cubicle with multiple jets.

This is a strict non-smoking property.  An ISDN internet line is available at extra cost.  Baby sitting and a local cook are available with advance notice at extra cost.

This is an ideal location for touring the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Killarney National Park.  Killarney is 20 miles (33 km).  Shannon Airport is 120 miles (200 km).  Dublin is 200 miles (333 km).  Cork City is 60 miles (100 km).

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:

This house is accessible to anybody with mild to moderate mobility limitations.  There are 2 steps into the house, 4 steps down into the living room area.  Both bathrooms have a shower stall.
