Chubbs Farm lies at the end of a track in 10 acres with holiday accommodation for 12 guests and views down to and across the Axe Valley. The refurbishment skillfully combines original features with more contemporary design. Chubbs Farm is a 10-minute drive from the Regency resort of Lyme Regis. After a day on the beach or fossil hunting on the cliffs, guests can retreat to the property for a barbecue in perfect seclusion. The nearest pub is in Axminster.

large farmhouse kitchen with breakfast table. Utility room. Large shower room with wc. Boot room. Double bedroom with 5' bed,
twin bedroom with 3' beds, bathroom with wc and small lounge area with sofa bed for occasional use for a child.
Galleried stairs to: Master bedroom with 6' bed, balcony and en suite bathroom with shower over bath. Second,
small queen-size double bedroom and two twin bedrooms with 3' beds. Bathroom with wc (no spray attachment).

Oil central heating, woodburner in sitting room.
Double electric range oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer.
Flatscreen digital TV, video, DVD, stereo with Ipod docking station.
3 travel cots and 2 highchairs available. No stairgate provided.
Gas barbecue available to be used near the annexe of the property.
Private water supply.

Things to do in Axminster are heavily influenced by the town's rich history, so if you are an admirer of ancient architecture and historical buildings, this is the holiday for you. Nearby Forde Abbey is a spectacularly beautiful building with equally stunning gardens, both of which are open to the public. Axminster Museum is another local attraction worth visiting. Situated across from the popular St. Mary's Church, the museum features exhibits and displays relating to the history and heritage of the town. A big part of the more recent history of the town is the Axe Vale Festival, which has run every year since the mid-1990s and includes all manner of crafts and hobbies

Interesting Facts: Under new ownership, The Old Inn has now returned to exactly what you might expect from your village pub. That is to say, family run with a warm and hearty welcome serving great beer and no nonsense traditional pub grub. Ricky, Jean and daughter Kelly have the restored the Old Inn to the hub of village life and welcome stop for visitors lucky enough to happen upon such a great little find.
 
One thing visitors should not miss
If you enjoy the great outdoors Devon is a great place to go walking and Axminster is no exception. The East Devon Way offers some fantastic scenery with winding footpaths and bridleways guiding you through the rolling Devon countryside. It is also home to the annual East Devon Way Relay, described as a 12-stage multi-terrain relay for teams of four. For those who prefer to take their time, there are many other great walks to be enjoyed including a beautiful route around Lambert's Castle.
